Dr. Bowman is a graduate of the University of Virginia, School of Medicine.  Dr. Bowman completed his residency in  Othopaedic Surgery at the University of California, San Francisco.  He went on to complete a fellowship in Sports Medicine at Aspen Orthopaedic Associates in Aspen, Colorado.  He also completed a second fellowship in Orthopaedic Oncology at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota.

Dr. Bowman has been practicing in San Diego since 1982.  He has extensive experience in all areas of orthopedics, with special interest in Bone and Soft Tissue Tumors and Sports Medicine.  He is also an experienced Medical Evaluator for work related and personal injuries.
